Netflix may very well be close to announcing its long-awaited launch in India. A new report claims how the streaming service could expose its plans for adding India to its listing of countries next week within its CES 2016 press releases.
The rumor emanates from The Hindu Business Collection, citing unnamed sources. This adds:
Netflix could enter India through a partnership with a local telecom firm to take advantage of the 4G networks that make watching high quality video streaming possible on a mobile anywhere.
Preceding rumors claimed Netflix can offer local content in India during its launch strategies. Netflix first released in Asia inside September when this started service in Japan and it has already announced it’ll expand to Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, and Taiwan sometime in 2016.
Netflix CEO Reed Hastings has to be CES 2016 keynote speaker on Wednesday, Economy is shown 6th. Typically a corporation like Netflix won’t take the stage for the CES keynote unless they have got something big to help announce.
